Get a Breath of Fresh Air with Our Summer Skip-a-Loan Payment Program! (back to top)

Feeling bogged down by all your bills? Need a chance to catch your breath and start fresh?

Well, Cecil County School Employees’ FCU has just what you need.

 

You can choose to skip either your July or your August 2013 payment, and you can skip a payment on each loan you have with us. Note: only two biweekly payments may be skipped for any given month. If you’re current on your loans, and you’re not overdrawn on your checking or savings accounts, you qualify! There’s just a $25 processing fee per loan, and applying couldn’t be easier!

 

 

$1000 CCSEFCU’s Annual Scholarship Program

If you’re a high school senior heading to college in the fall, don’t miss out on this great opportunity. CCSEFCU is offering $1,000 to be used at any accredited college or university (check will be made payable to the college or university). Only CCSEFCU members are eligible to apply. All students in the Cecil County Public School System, Tome School and Tri State Academy are eligible for membership and may join the credit union and then apply.

 

Guidelines for upcoming college students.
To enter, the student must:

  • Be and/or become a member of CCSEFCU
  • Be a Cecil County high school senior
  • Have a GPA of 2.5 or above
  • Submit a two page double-spaced essay
    on the topic:

Is personal financial education important? How can Cecil County School Employees’ FCU help you become financially literate?”

 

All essays must be forwarded to the credit union at 203 Booth Street, Elkton, MD by April 19th, 2013 for a decision to be made by May 10th, 2013. For more information‚ contact the credit union office at 410-398-6921 or by

Free Consumer Education Through FoolProof

If you still haven’t taken advantage of the free consumer literacy materials provided through the Credit Union’s partnership with FoolProof, now is the time to start! From protecting your credit score, to being a smart shopper, to buying your first house – FoolProof has it all covered! Even if you’ve already explored their materials, you’ll want to go check them out again. They’ve recently launched brand new versions of their teacher website and of FoolProof Solo, their special program for young people. They’ve also upgraded their high school program with new videos and other content to help high schoolers be smart with their money.

Be a Savings Sleuth During Credit Union Youth Week

It’s never too early to start learning about the importance of savings. If you want the young people in your life to be smart with their money, bring them in to the Credit Union during National Credit Union Youth Week, April 21 – 27, 2013. They can open an account of their own and start experiencing first-hand what it’s like to have their money work for them. Come celebrate with us, and make sure they’re clued in to the marvelous mystery of money management!
